Dragons Be Production Fifth Entry

Whew!  Bosses are officially done. Finished final editing yesterday. That brings my progress up to 50% completion on the animation, 30% completion on the project entirely.  Next order of business, is finishing stages.  I have level 1-6 done, working on level 7 now. After that will be mid-bosses, a couple of which tie into some of the side-quests I have planned. To that effect, the side-quests I've settled on thus are a Relic Hunting side-quest, finding a stolen heirloom, and defeating a monster terrorizing a village. That's just as of this writing. Still planning another three. More to come soon.

Dragons Be Production Fourth Entry

Making steady progress.  Final boss is finally coming together but still gonna be a bit before he can be called finished. Taking a little bit longer than I would like, but he's the second most vital character in the game after Tak, so gotta handle him carefully. Still a lot left to be done  Stay tuned.

Dragons be production Third Entry

Making steady progress.  My goal is to finish at least 80% of the the in-game animation by Summer.  Working on the Final Boss, and it's an apt description. Lot of work left to do to finish it.  Here's a small test animation of Tak. Like the motion in this.

Dragons Be Production entry 2

At this writing, I now have 9 of the planned 10 bosses done, which leaves on the Final Boss left. My basic process thus far, has been to do the project in stages, as it should be, but my approach is a little unorthodox. I break it down by order of what's going to take the most time to do, and for any medium that uses animation, that means character animation. I started with Tak, being the player character, he spends the most time on screen so has the most frames (200+,) after that is bosses, who have the most frames of the enemies (average of 50-60 frames,) then will be mid-bosses (5 planned,) regular enemies, and then special FX.  I promised a synopsis and here it is:

You take the role of Tak, prince of  Dragon-like race called Drakonians, who reside in the long forgotten realm of Drakonia, whose duty it is to guard Earthland, ancestral homeland of the Drakonians. Tak however, is spoiled and headstrong, often shirking his duties to play games with children of his servants. When a prank by Tak indirectly leads to his mother, Queen Astria, being stricken by an assassin and her Soul Stone, her life source, being stolen, a guilt-ridden Tak sets out in pursuit, braving the unfamiliar terrain of Earthland and it's many dangers to find, and retrieve the Soul Stone and save Queen Astria.

Below is a preview of some of the bosses who will be appearing.  Later!
